Dr. Henrietta Okoro

Dr. Henrietta Okoro is a Maryland Commissioner on African Affairs and the Director for Education in Women Veterans United Inc. (WVUI). She is a great supporter of the Women Veterans projects and has piloted many of their educational projects and workshops. Dr. Okoro is a strategic management consultant with in-depth experience spanning over twenty-eight (28) years and proven expertise in information systems, and technology. Dr. Okoro is also the Founder/CEO of two non-profit professional association: World Association for Academic Doctors (WAAD), Inc. and Association of Nigerian Women Academic Doctors (ANWAD), Inc. Her vision for ANWAD and WAAD are engrossed in initiative driven projects to harness partnership with government, veterans, non-governmental agencies, corporations, members, and volunteers in their respective communities to empower women, youth, and the underprivileged.

Dr. Okoro holds a Doctorate Degree in Organizational Leadership with specialization in Information Systems & Technology. A dual master’s degree in Accounting & Management and a bachelor’s in business administration. She is a Certified Software Test Engineer from Quality Assurance Institute (QAI). She earned Executive Education Certificate, in 2014 from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Cambridge Massachusetts, USA and a Cybersecurity Management and Policy Certificate from University of Maryland University College. Dr. Okoro currently serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland University College. She is a published author and has presented and published several peer-reviewed articles in the national and international journals.
